Toughness Improvement of Epoxy Composites Using a Kind of Environment-Friendly Bio-Based Polyester Polyol

چکیده
Epoxy resin (EP) is a thermosetting with prominent performances and wide applications. However, the inherent brittleness limits its development in engineering materials area. A liquid bio-based polyester polyol (LLP) flexible long chains was synthesized this study by melt polycondensation of corn straw lignin. After being compounded EP (LLP/EP), mechanical property, micromorphology thermal behavior composite were evaluated. The experimental result indicated that fracture decreased importing LLP. bending impact strength up to 113.67 MPa 51.29 kJ/m2 for 10%-LLP/EP, which 5.25% 27% higher than those unmodified EP. results work build new avenues efficient utilization lignin low-cost, high-performance well environmentally adaptable renewable resources.
